The Petromax Dutch Oven/Potjie is a robust cast iron essential with exceptional heat retention and transfer properties for both open-fire and oven cooking. The raised edge of the lid allows you to place embers or charcoal on the fire pot, ensuring even heating from all sides, making it ideal for roasting and baking bread. It comes pre-seasoned, so you don't have to worry about seasoning.
Equipped with a robust handle and a built-in steam hole that can also be used as a thermometer port, the Dutch Oven is available in two versions – with three stable legs or with a flat base. The lid is specially designed to be used as a skillet or a platter.
Which size should I choose?
- For 1-3 people: FT3
- For 2-5 people: FT4.5 (Most popular size for a family of 4)
