The Kershaw Magnesium Fire Starter is a compact and dependable way to get a fire going when conditions are less than ideal. Designed for camping, hunting and outdoor emergencies, its firesteel shaft produces a powerful shower of sparks and is rated for up to 3,000 strikes. Simply hold the shaft close to dry tinder and draw the chrome-plated striker firmly down the firesteel to create ignition sparks. The moulded plastic handle offers a secure, comfortable grip, while the attached nylon cord keeps the striker close at hand. It can also be used to light camp stoves and gas barbecues, and the bright sparks may serve as an emergency signal when necessary. Small enough to carry in a pocket or dry box, it is a practical piece of kit for unpredictable weather and remote adventures.
